Our bi-weekly meetings are designed to engage members with interactive activities and expert-led discussions, offering valuable insights into the industry. These sessions foster networking and professional development, club bonding and help expand on topics in the events industry.
Site Tours
Throughout the year, we visit various event venues across Michigan, providing members with firsthand experiences and a deeper understanding of event planning logistics. These site tours allow members to explore new venues and gather inspiration for future events.
Trips
MEC attends the annual PCMA Convening Leaders conference, with the 2025 event taking place in Houston from January 12–15. This event offers members the chance to gain cutting-edge knowledge, attend educational sessions, and network with industry leaders.

Our socials create a relaxed atmosphere
for members to connect, build relationships, and form long-lasting professional and personal bonds!
Fundraising
Through a variety of unique fundraising efforts, MEC is able to support and provide resources for impactful events. These initiatives are crucial in helping us create memorable experiences.

MEC is dedicated to giving back by engaging in local volunteering opportunities that benefit the community and industry. Our members actively contribute to meaningful causes, strengthening connections while making a positive impact.
Who We Are
MSU Meeting and Events Club (MEC) is an organization created for students interested in the meeting and events field. We are focused on providing students with an opportunity to learn about and contribute to the industry. As a club within the Hospitality Association (HA), we are committed to involvement of philanthropic, fundraising, and educational events within our community and field.

It is our goal to become leaders in our industry and build fellowship along the way!
